A full time Executive Officer, reporting directly to the board and working with local industry, tourism managers, Destination NSW and other key stakeholders to market the destination both domestically and internationally.  TSM also employs an Administration Manager.

As of 1st January 2015 there are a total of nine directors on the TSM Board including a permanent DNSW invitee.  The Board consists of, 4 skills based representatives as selected by the TSM Selection Panel, and 4 Major Stakeholders, each of whom is to be elected annually from among their number to take office from the 1st July.

The TSM board is selected under the requirement in the TSM Rules of Incorporation that the appointment of Directors is based on skills and experience of the Director.  Selection of the 4 skills based representatives Board Members is undertaken with the following core skills and knowledge base required within the Board membership:

  • Leadership
  • Strategic planning
  • Financial Management and accounting
  • Legal issues (including governance and risk management)
  • Government policies and practices
  • Marketing expertise
  • Infrastructure development
  • Tourism Industry Experience and Planning capacity
